Empowering Farmers: Trella Cofounder Explores Cape Abilities Farm

Trella’s cofounder and CEO, Aja N. Atwood, recently had the pleasure of visiting Cape Abilities farm in Dennis, MA. During her visit she experienced how Cape Abilities is a special place not just for the farming jobs it brings to local communities, but for why and how they operate.

With 49+ years of service on Cape Cod, Cape Abilities is a nonprofit organization that provides opportunities, including jobs at its Dennis farm, to people with disabilities. The organization’s mission is “to serve individuals with disabilities by educating, counseling, providing residential, social, therapeutic and employment supports so as to empower them to achieve meaningful and valued roles in society.”

Take a look at these pictures from Aja’s visit, and visit capeabilities.org to learn more about this special place!
